About RealPayHQ

A gross salary says little about what reaches your bank account. Income tax, social contributions and regional rules decide that, and they differ sharply from one country to the next. RealPayHQ gives you an estimate built on the rules of the place where you work.

What we cover

We currently have calculators for the United States, Canada, Germany and Poland. Coverage within a country varies: some states and provinces are fully verified, others are labelled as estimates or as not yet covered. The countries page and the directory show the status of each.

How we work

We would rather show fewer calculators than unreliable ones. A calculator is published only when its rules have been read from official sources and checked with reference calculations. The details are in our methodology.

What we are not

RealPayHQ is not a tax adviser, a payroll provider or a government service. Our results are estimates for information only.
